Goat Funded Trader Review 2026
Our verdict: Goat Funded Trader suits traders who want unusually broad programme choice, static-drawdown evaluations and instant-funding alternatives. The conventional 2-Step Standard and 2 Step GOAT routes are easier to model than the trailing instant accounts. The main drawback is the funded-stage rule stack: Goat Guard can cut the split after a 2% floating-loss trigger, short-duration funded profits can be removed, news-event profit is capped, and instant models add tighter floating-loss or consistency conditions.
Best forTraders who want static evaluation drawdown, multiple routes and broad platform choice.
Avoid ifYou use hedging, martingale/grid recovery, signal services or funded scalping that regularly closes inside two minutes.
Drawdown strictnessModerate on static evaluations; significantly tighter on Instant HERO/PRO/GOAT because floating-loss rules sit above the headline drawdown.

Score Breakdown
Our Verdict in 60 Seconds
Goat Funded Trader’s conventional evaluations are the strongest part of the catalogue for traders who prefer fixed risk budgets. The 1 Step uses a 10% target with a 3% daily loss and 6% static maximum loss for current purchases. The 2-Step Standard gives a wider 10% static loss allowance with 10% then 5% targets, while 2 Step GOAT changes the targets to 8% then 6% and lowers the daily loss limit to 4%. The 3 Step route spreads the target across three 6% phases and has no evaluation minimum-day requirement.
The instant range is more restrictive. Instant GOAT uses 3% daily and 6% trailing maximum loss plus a 2% floating-loss hard breach and 15% consistency. Instant PRO removes the daily limit but tightens the overall trailing loss to 4% and uses 20% consistency. Instant Premium removes consistency but currently has a 1% floating-loss rule for new purchases, while Instant HERO uses a 1% floating-loss rule and 15% consistency.
The biggest detail traders can miss is Goat Guard. It applies to funded accounts derived from evaluations and triggers at a combined floating loss equal to 2% of the initial account size. A first trigger cuts the reward split to 50%; a qualifying second trigger breaches the account. The headline 6–10% funded maximum drawdown therefore does not represent the only risk control.
For a conventional challenge, 2 Step GOAT is the first route worth comparing against 2-Step Standard: it has the same 10% static maximum loss, a lower 8% Phase 1 target and a tighter 4% daily limit, but a higher 6% Phase 2 target. Which is better depends on the trader’s drawdown distribution rather than the account label.
Why trust this review?
This review was checked against Goat Funded Trader’s current Help Centre programme pages, risk rules, payout policy, platform/country guidance, legal disclosures, complaints process and current Trustpilot profile on 24 September 2026. We also cross-checked the structured Prop Firms Compare database. We have not independently traded a new Goat Funded Trader account, benchmarked spreads/execution, contacted support or completed a fresh payout specifically for this review, so those areas are not presented as first-hand tests.

Company Overview
Goat Funded Trader’s current legal pages use two company references. The current website footer identifies Goat Funded LTD, Saint Lucia company number 2025-00240, as the provider of the simulated trading services. The Terms and funded-account disclaimer also identify Goat Funded Trader as a trade name of Wishes Tower International Limited, Hong Kong company number 76428795.
The service should not be described as a regulated retail broker. Its complaints policy explicitly says Goat Funded Trader is not a regulated financial institution, while its funded-account disclaimer says the accounts are fully simulated demo accounts using market quotes rather than live brokerage accounts.
This review covers the CFD/Forex programme family. Goat Funded Trader also operates futures products through a separate checkout/workspace. Futures use different rules, providers and account economics and are therefore outside this review.
Goat Funded Trader Pros and Cons
✅ Pros
- Several current CFD routes: one-step, two-step, three-step, Pay Later and multiple instant models.
- 1 Step, 2-Step Standard, 2 Step GOAT and 3 Step use static maximum loss during evaluation.
- 3 Step has no minimum trading days during the evaluation phases.
- Pay Later requires only $5 up front, with the larger fee due only after passing.
- Weekend holding is currently allowed, subject to the separate weekend-gap profit-adjustment rule.
- News trading is allowed on evaluation and funded accounts, with a published profit cap rather than an automatic breach.
- Five current platforms are listed: MT5, cTrader, TradeLocker, MatchTrader and Volumetrica.
- The current scaling plan can increase capital, profit split and drawdown allowances after sustained funded performance.
❌ Cons
- Goat Guard adds a 2% floating-loss intervention to evaluation-derived funded accounts and can reduce the split to 50% before the headline maximum drawdown is breached.
- Funded profit from trades held for less than two minutes is removed, while losses still count.
- High-impact-news profit is capped at 1% of initial balance inside the current ±5-minute window.
- Hedging and martingale/grid recovery strategies are prohibited.
- Signal services and third-party copy trading are prohibited, and copy trading between evaluation accounts is not allowed.
- VPS use is prohibited on several account types bought from 12 August 2026.
- All rewards currently carry a 3% processing fee.
- Trustpilot currently withholds the numerical rating because of a guidelines breach and says fake reviews were removed.
Who is Goat Funded Trader For
- Traders who prefer static drawdown: the main evaluation routes use fixed overall loss floors. Use our drawdown calculator to compare the usable cash risk.
- Traders who want no overall time pressure: the main evaluation models publish no short completion deadline. See other no minimum trading days prop firms if evaluation-day requirements are decisive.
- Traders who want low upfront commitment: Pay Later starts at $5 and defers the larger account fee until after passing. Compare full costs with the cheap prop firms page.
- Experienced traders who want direct access: the instant catalogue skips evaluation but uses substantially tighter risk/payout conditions. Compare the instant funding prop firms.
- US traders who can use non-MetaTrader platforms: TradeLocker, MatchTrader and Volumetrica are currently available in the US.
Who should avoid it
Goat Funded Trader is a poor fit for strategies based on hedging, martingale/grid recovery, HFT, Gold Arbitrage EAs, third-party signal copying or very short funded scalps. Traders who need a VPS should verify model eligibility before paying because VPS access is restricted on One Step, Two Step, Instant Premium and Pay Later accounts purchased from 12 August 2026. If the number of model-specific rules feels excessive, compare a simpler programme in the programme comparison tool.
Programme Comparison
The dynamic table below focuses on nine current evergreen CFD routes. The inactive 2-Step PRO model is excluded from purchase recommendations. GOAT Blitz and Goat $1 are covered separately because one is a limited weekend drop and the other is a special $1/28-day instant product.

1 Step
Evaluation: one 10% target, three valid days, 3% daily drawdown for purchases from 1 August 2026 and 6% static maximum loss. The daily threshold resets at 5 PM EST using the higher of balance or equity. Funded: the same 3%/6% headline limits remain, four 0.5% valid days are required per reward for current purchases, the standard split is 80% and the standard cycle is 14 days. Goat Guard also applies.
2-Step Standard
Evaluation: 10% then 5% targets, 5% daily drawdown, 10% static maximum loss and three valid days in each phase. Funded: the 5%/10% limits continue, four 0.5% valid days are required per reward for current purchases, the default split is 80% and the normal reward cycle is 14 days. Goat Guard applies.
2 Step GOAT
Evaluation: 8% then 6% targets, 4% daily loss, 10% static maximum loss and three valid days per phase. Funded: the same 4%/10% headline limits continue with four current valid days per payout, an 80% default split and a 14-day standard cycle. Goat Guard applies. Compared with Standard, it lowers the first target and daily limit but raises the second target.
3 Step
Evaluation: three separate 6% targets with 4% daily and 8% static maximum loss. There is no minimum-day requirement during the evaluation phases. Funded: 4% daily / 8% static maximum loss remain; current purchases require four 0.5% valid days per reward, with an 80% split and 14-day standard cycle. Goat Guard applies.
Pay Later
Evaluation: $5 up front, a 3% target for purchases from 5 September 2026, no published daily-loss limit, 8% trailing maximum loss and no minimum evaluation days. Funded: the risk budget tightens to 3% daily and 6% trailing maximum loss, with a 2% floating-loss hard breach, five valid days and 30% consistency for current purchases. The remaining account fee must be paid after passing and before the funded account is issued.
Instant GOAT
No evaluation: immediate funded-stage access with 3% trailing daily drawdown, 6% trailing overall loss, a separate 2% floating-loss hard breach, 15% consistency and five valid days. The default split is 80% and the cycle is 14 days. The trailing maximum-loss limit resets after a payout.
Instant PRO
No evaluation: no daily drawdown, 4% trailing maximum loss, 2% floating-loss hard breach, 20% consistency and five valid days. The standard reward split is 80% every 14 days, with a 100% split available as an add-on.
Instant Premium
No evaluation: 3% daily drawdown, 6% intraday trailing maximum loss, no consistency rule and five valid 0.5% days. Accounts purchased from 2 September 2026 use a 1% floating-loss hard-breach rule rather than the older 1.5% level. The default split is 80% and the reward cycle is 10 days.
Instant HERO
No evaluation: 3% trailing daily drawdown, 5% trailing maximum loss, 1% floating-loss hard breach, 15% consistency and six valid days. HERO starts at a higher 90% default reward split, with a 100% add-on available; the standard cycle is 14 days.
Special models: GOAT Blitz and Goat $1
GOAT Blitz is a limited-time one-step drop offered randomly on two weekends per month rather than an evergreen model. Its current structure uses a 3% target, 3% static daily loss, 5% trailing overall loss, 2% floating-loss rule, five valid days and a funded 15% consistency rule.
Goat $1 costs $1 for a $1,000 instant account, but it is intentionally constrained: 28-day expiry, 3% static daily drawdown, 6% trailing maximum loss, 2% floating loss, 15% consistency, three valid days, 80% split, $100 minimum withdrawal and $100 maximum lifetime withdrawable profit. It should not be compared with a normal long-term funded account purely because of the $1 price.
Before choosing a GFT programme
Choose by funded-stage risk controls before choosing by headline fee or account size. Goat Guard, floating-loss limits, consistency and valid-day requirements can matter more than the nominal maximum drawdown.
Pricing, Defaults & Add-ons
Goat Funded Trader’s live CFD checkout is dynamically configured by model, size, platform, coupon and add-ons. Several official GFT blog pages currently publish conflicting starting prices for the same models, so this review does not present those marketing examples as settled checkout prices. The dynamic pricing shortcode should only be published once the current checkout values have been manually verified.

For value comparisons, the Pay Later total matters more than its $5 headline. A 5K route costs $83 if successfully passed and activated, while the 100K route costs $603 on the currently published schedule. Compare those totals with a normal up-front evaluation rather than treating Pay Later as a $5 complete challenge.
Default terms vs optional add-ons
Default reward split: most current core routes start at 80%; Instant HERO starts at 90%. A 100% profit split is a paid checkout add-on on eligible accounts, not the default.
On-Demand First Reward: available as an add-on for the evaluation models and GOAT Blitz. It requires at least 3% profit over three trading days, with at least 0.5% profit on each of those days. The first on-demand reward is paid at a 40% split even if the 100% split add-on was purchased; later rewards return to the normal cycle/split.
Resets: current reset pricing depends on programme and breached phase. It is a post-breach option and should not be included in the base challenge fee. The reset must be bought within 14 calendar days of the breach under the current policy.
Use the prop firm discount codes page for temporary coupons rather than hard-coding a short-lived promotion into this evergreen review.
Drawdown & Risk Rules
The evaluation models use static maximum-loss floors except Pay Later, which is trailing. The daily drawdown on the conventional evaluations is recalculated at 5 PM EST from the higher of balance or equity. Static maximum loss remains tied to the initial account size.
Worked example — $100,000 2 Step GOAT: the 10% static maximum loss fixes the overall floor at $90,000. If balance is $102,000 and equity is $104,000 at the 5 PM EST reset, the 4% daily threshold is calculated from the higher $104,000 value. The account would need to stay above $99,840 during that trading day.
Worked example — $100,000 1 Step: current purchases use a 3% daily threshold and a fixed 6% overall floor of $94,000. If the higher balance/equity reading at reset is $105,000, the daily threshold becomes $101,850, even though the overall static floor remains $94,000.
Instant models: their overall floors trail balance/equity highs and can therefore tighten after profits. Instant GOAT/PRO also reset the maximum-loss limit after a payout under their current programme pages, while Instant Premium’s current article does not publish the same reset.
Use the drawdown calculator and position size calculator before purchasing.
Goat Guard
Goat Guard applies to all funded accounts derived from an evaluation and excludes Instant Funding accounts. The fixed threshold is a combined floating loss equal to 2% of the initial account size. It does not increase as the balance grows.
On the first trigger, open positions stay open and the account remains active, but the reward split is reduced to 50%. The system records the positions that caused the trigger. If the open-position composition changes and a new qualifying 2% trigger occurs, the account is permanently breached. This makes Goat Guard a distinct funded-stage risk control rather than another name for the daily or maximum drawdown.
Trading Rules & Restrictions
- News trading: allowed. Trades opened or closed within ±5 minutes of listed high-impact news can generate at most 1% of initial balance profit; excess is removed without breach. Use the economic calendar.
- Weekend holding: allowed. However, funded profit can be removed from trades opened in the last three market hours on Friday and closed in the first three market hours on Monday.
- Trades under two minutes: funded profit is removed from positions held for less than 120 seconds; losses remain. The rule does not apply to evaluation accounts.
- EAs: allowed if compliant. HFT systems and Gold Arbitrage EA are prohibited.
- VPS: for purchases from 12 August 2026, prohibited on One Step, Two Step, Instant Premium and Pay Later; allowed on Instant GOAT and Instant HERO. Instant PRO is not clearly stated on the current VPS list.
- Signal services / third-party copy trading: prohibited.
- Own-account copying: copying between funded accounts owned by the trader is allowed; copying between evaluation accounts or evaluation-to-funded is prohibited.
- Hedging: prohibited within the same account, between the trader’s accounts, across traders and between GFT and another firm.
- Martingale / grid recovery: prohibited under the current prohibited-practices policy.
- Stop loss: not mandatory.
- Shared devices: prohibited; shared payout addresses can also create payout eligibility problems.
- Inactivity: 30 consecutive days with no trades breaches evaluation and funded accounts.
- All-or-nothing trading: using more than 80% of available margin in a trade idea is treated as gambling-style risk and can lead to profit deductions or phase resets.
- Additional risk limits: GFT can impose account-specific risk limitations, such as a 1% risk-per-trade-idea limit, after notifying the trader.
Payout System & Reliability
Most core evaluation-derived funded accounts use a 14-day reward cycle with an 80% default split. Instant Premium uses a 10-day cycle; Instant HERO starts at 90%; and eligible evaluation accounts can use the paid on-demand first-reward option.
The current minimum reward request is $100. Goat Funded Trader says requests are processed within two business days once first-payout KYC is complete. Current payout methods are Rise, Crypto, Skrill and Bank Transfer, although bank transfer is currently limited to specified countries. Only one reward request can be pending per account and the full eligible profit amount must be requested rather than a partial withdrawal.
Current reward deductions and caps: funded accounts have a $3,000 daily profit cap. For the first two reward requests, withdrawals are capped at 6% of initial balance or $10,000, whichever is lower; current $5K two-step accounts bought from 25 July 2026 use a 4% cap. Excess above those caps is removed from the account rather than carried forward.
Processing fee: all rewards are currently subject to a 3% processing fee applied after the profit split and applicable deductions. The older 2% value still present in the Prop Firms Compare database is stale and must be corrected before dynamic payout data is published.
Goat Funded Trader advertises a $1,000 bonus if an eligible request is not processed inside its two-business-day window, with exceptions for incomplete KYC or additional information reviews. We report that as the firm’s published commitment, not as independent proof that every payout is processed in two days.
Challenge Fairness
The main paid evaluations do not impose a short overall completion deadline, and the published minimum-day requirements are modest. 3 Step and Pay Later have no evaluation minimum-day requirement, while 1 Step and the two-step routes use three valid days per phase.
The main fairness deduction is that passing an evaluation does not mean the same strategy can operate unchanged on the funded account. Goat Guard only appears after funding; the funded daily profit cap and initial withdrawal caps also apply later; and current accounts can require four qualifying 0.5% days before each payout. Traders should assess the full evaluation-to-payout journey.
Before buying, compare your statistics with our guide to passing a prop firm challenge and challenge probability calculator.
Platforms, Markets & Technology
Current CFD platforms are MetaTrader 5, cTrader, TradeLocker, MatchTrader and Volumetrica. A platform can be changed once before any trades are placed. US clients cannot use MT5 or cTrader but can currently use TradeLocker, MatchTrader and Volumetrica.
Available markets currently include Forex, indices, metals, commodities, stocks and cryptocurrencies. The published maximum evaluation leverage is 1:100 Forex, 1:20 indices/commodities, 1:2 crypto and 1:5 stocks. Funded leverage is reduced to 1:50 Forex and 1:10 indices/commodities, while crypto remains 1:2 and stocks 1:5.
For MT5, Match-Trade and TradeLocker, the current published commission is $5 per lot on FX/metals and $0 per lot on crypto, indices, commodities and stocks. Goat Funded Trader describes the feeds as raw spread, but we have not independently benchmarked spread, slippage, execution latency or uptime, so those marketing claims are not scored as first-hand advantages.
Support, Transparency & Reputation
Goat Funded Trader maintains current programme-specific Help Centre pages for drawdown calculations, valid-day requirements, Goat Guard, news trading, weekend holding, EAs, copying, countries and payout mechanics. That makes many material rules directly checkable.
The main transparency concern is the speed and complexity of rule changes. In 2026, current programme pages contain date-specific rules for the 1 Step daily limit, funded valid days, Pay Later targets/consistency, Instant Premium floating loss and VPS access. Traders should save their account agreement and purchase date because older accounts can remain on different terms.
Customer support and complaints
Current contact routes include the website contact form and support@goatfundedtrader.com; the Help Centre describes email support as available 24/7. We have not measured actual response time. The published complaints policy says complaints should be acknowledged within two business days, aims for resolution within ten business days and allows an internal-review request within ten business days of the response.
Trustpilot
Trustpilot currently does not display a numerical GoatFundedTrader rating because of a guidelines breach. Its profile says it removed a number of fake reviews and showed 4,281 total reviews when checked on 24 September 2026. This is a material reputation signal, but individual positive or negative reviews are still third-party allegations/experiences rather than proof of the outcome of any specific payout case.
Country Availability
Goat Funded Trader’s current restricted list includes Afghanistan, Belarus, Central African Republic, Chile, Cuba, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Hong Kong, Iran, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Mali, Myanmar, North Korea, Russia, Senegal, Singapore, Somalia, South Korea, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, Togo, Venezuela, Yemen and Zimbabwe, plus the listed restricted entities/groups.
United States: currently accepted, but MT5 and cTrader are unavailable. TradeLocker, MatchTrader and Volumetrica are available. Compare other choices on the US prop firms page.
United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and most of Europe: these are not on the current published restricted-country list, subject to local law, KYC and platform availability. UK traders can compare the UK prop firms guide.
The firm’s restricted-country list can change. Check the current Help Centre immediately before purchase rather than relying on an older review or social-media promotion.
Scaling & Maximum Allocation
Goat Funded Trader currently caps combined simulated funded capital at $400,000. Eligible funded accounts derived from evaluation models can be merged if they are untraded/at initial balance and match account type, profit split and add-ons. Instant Funding accounts cannot be merged.
The current scaling plan is milestone-based. Level 1 requires two months funded plus four successful payouts and adds 15% of the original account size, a 90% split and one additional percentage point to daily/maximum drawdown. Level 2 requires four months/six payouts and adds 30%, keeps a 90% split, increases both drawdowns by two percentage points and adds weekly payouts. Level 3 requires five months/ten payouts, adds 40%, raises the split to 92% and increases both drawdowns by three points. Level 4 requires six months/15 payouts, adds 50%, raises the split to 95% and adds four points to both drawdowns.
The current official scaling FAQ says all scale-ups are calculated from the original account size. It does not state a total dollar scaling ceiling on that page, so this review does not repeat older $2 million marketing references as a verified current limit.

Goat Funded Trader Alternatives
These four alternatives address specific Goat Funded Trader weaknesses rather than acting as an overall ranking:
- FTMO — compare it if you want a smaller, more standardised evaluation range and fewer model-specific funded controls to track.
- The5ers — relevant if static-drawdown challenge structures and long-term scaling matter more than Goat Funded Trader’s larger instant/add-on catalogue.
- FundedNext — compare it if you still want multiple evaluation and instant routes but prefer a different funded risk/payout framework.
- Blue Guardian — another direct/evaluation alternative if the 1–2% floating-loss rules on Goat Funded Trader’s instant accounts are too restrictive.
Final Verdict
Goat Funded Trader’s strongest case is programme choice combined with static-drawdown evaluations. Traders can choose one, two or three evaluation phases, defer most of the fee with Pay Later, or skip evaluation entirely through several instant products. The conventional evaluation risk mathematics are generally easier to model than the instant range.
The weakness is what happens after the simple headline limits. Goat Guard, funded valid-day requirements, a $3,000 daily funded profit cap, first-two-payout caps, 3% processing fee, sub-two-minute profit removal, news-event profit caps and model-specific copy/VPS restrictions all affect the route from passing to withdrawing.
For most traders comparing conventional GFT routes, start with 2-Step Standard and 2 Step GOAT. Standard gives the lower 5% Phase 2 target; GOAT gives the lower 8% Phase 1 target and a tighter 4% daily loss. Choose 1 Step when removing a phase is worth the smaller 6% overall risk budget. Consider the instant routes only after modelling their trailing and floating-loss controls.
Goat Funded Trader Review FAQs
Goat Funded Trader is an identifiable simulated-trading provider with published programme rules, legal disclosures, support channels and payout procedures. Its current website names Goat Funded LTD in Saint Lucia as the provider of the simulated trading services, while its Terms and funded-account disclaimer also identify Goat Funded Trader as a trade name of Wishes Tower International Limited in Hong Kong. The accounts are described as simulated rather than live brokerage accounts. This does not guarantee future rewards or remove programme risk.
Do not treat the Goat Funded Trader prop service as a regulated retail brokerage. Its complaints policy says Goat Funded Trader is not a regulated financial institution, while the website describes the service as simulated trading rather than client-deposit brokerage. Company registration is different from financial regulation.
The 2-Step Standard and 2 Step GOAT routes both use a 10% static maximum loss. Standard uses 10% then 5% profit targets with a 5% daily loss limit, while GOAT uses 8% then 6% targets with a 4% daily limit. Which is more suitable depends on whether you value the lower first target or the lower second target.
Yes. Current instant routes include Instant GOAT, Instant PRO, Instant Premium and Instant HERO, plus the special Goat $1 account. These skip the evaluation but use tighter trailing drawdown, floating-loss, consistency or profitable-day rules depending on the model.
Most core funded models use a 14-day reward cycle, Instant Premium uses 10 days, and eligible evaluation-based accounts can buy an on-demand first-reward add-on. After a reward request is submitted, Goat Funded Trader currently publishes a processing window of two business days once first-payout KYC is complete. A 3% processing fee applies to the final reward amount.
Yes. The current general rule allows news trading on both evaluation and funded accounts, but profit from trades opened or closed within five minutes before or after listed high-impact news is capped at 1% of the initial account balance. Excess profit is removed without breaching the account.
Yes. The current general rule allows weekend holding. However, funded profits can be removed when a trade is opened during the final three market hours on Friday and closed during the first three market hours on Monday because that can be treated as weekend-gap exploitation.
EAs are allowed if they comply with the prohibited-practice rules, but HFT systems and Gold Arbitrage EAs are not allowed. VPS access is restricted on some account types purchased from 12 August 2026. Signal services and third-party copy trading are prohibited; copying between the trader’s own funded accounts is allowed, but copying between evaluation accounts or from an evaluation to a funded account is not.
Goat Guard applies to funded accounts that came from evaluation models, not Instant Funding accounts. It triggers when combined floating loss reaches 2% of the initial account size. The first trigger reduces the profit split to 50% while leaving the account active. A qualifying second trigger permanently breaches the account.
The United States is not on the current restricted-country list, but platform access is different. TradeLocker, MatchTrader and Volumetrica are currently available to US traders, while MT5 and cTrader are not.
