Best Futures Prop Firms in 2026: Top 5 Ranked
Topstep is our #1 futures prop firm for 2026 for traders who want an established futures-only evaluation and a documented route towards live funding. MyFundedFutures ranks second for its Rapid payout options, while Tradeify stands out for Select Flex versus Daily payout choice. Apex Trader Funding suits traders comparing EOD and intraday drawdown accounts; FTMO Futures is a newer option for traders comparing Growth and Pro. These rankings focus on the futures products and their rules, not headline account size or the highest affiliate commission.

Our ranking order is deliberately not sorted by the highest overall editorial score. We consider how the futures programme fits an actual trader: drawdown enforcement, funded-stage withdrawal gates, subscription exposure, available contract sizes, and programme maturity. Scores below are the firm-level editorial scores recorded in PFC’s Supabase database on 17 October 2026. They are not a separate futures-programme-only scoring model; FTMO Futures has its own independent review score.
| Rank | Futures firm | Current models | Best for | Firm score |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| #1 | Topstep | Trading Combine → Express Funded Account | Best overall futures evaluation | 89/100 |
| #2 | MyFundedFutures | Rapid / Rapid EOD / Pro / Builder | Best for payout flexibility | 95/100 |
| #3 | Tradeify | Growth / Select / Lightning Funded | Best for programme choice | 91/100 |
| #4 | Apex Trader Funding | EOD / Intraday account routes | Best for EOD versus intraday comparison | 88/100 |
| #5 | FTMO Futures | Growth / Pro | Best newer futures alternative | 95/100 |
Futures account comparison: payout rules, fees and drawdown
There is no single standard $50K futures account. Some firms bill monthly until an evaluation is passed; others sell an evaluation once. And a fast withdrawal window is meaningless unless you have met the buffer, profitable-day and consistency requirements. The table below identifies the specific programme behind each comparison, not a rule that automatically applies to every product the brand sells.
| Firm / route | Cost model | Risk & drawdown | Withdrawal eligibility | Main drawback |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Topstep Trading Combine → XFA Standard or Consistency | Monthly subscription; Standard and no-activation-fee routes | Maximum Loss Limit; Trading Combine consistency objective | Standard: five $150+ winning days; Consistency: three days and 40% consistency | Topstep account rules can vary by XFA route |
| MyFundedFutures Rapid / Rapid EOD | Check plan checkout; newer evaluation products use one-time purchase terms | Intraday versus EOD rules by plan | Rapid: daily request eligibility, first request no sooner than 24 hours after trade, subject to profit buffer | Rapid is not an unconditional same-day payout |
| Tradeify Select Flex / Select Daily after Select Evaluation | Check Select checkout and version | EOD trailing with different Daily Loss Limit arrangements | Flex: five winning days; Daily: faster eligibility with payout buffer | Funded payout path selected after passing |
| Apex Trader Funding EOD Performance Account | Check account generation and activation/checkout | EOD drawdown evaluated at close but enforced intraday | Five qualifying profitable days, 50% consistency, $500 minimum; six payouts per PA | EOD and intraday PA rules differ; hard payout cap |
| FTMO Futures Growth / Pro | Evaluation subscription; no activation fee under published futures terms | Both EOD trailing; Growth softer Daily Loss design, Pro hard Daily Loss rule | 90% funded-stage payout ratio; Growth and Pro differ in payout caps | Futures product only launched 17 September 2026 |
How we ranked the best futures prop trading firms
We assessed the trader journey from evaluation to withdrawal, with emphasis on maximum loss enforcement, daily risk controls, contract scaling, profit targets, evaluation costs, funded-stage rules, payout eligibility, operational history, platform availability and the clarity of published documentation. We also consider whether a firm has published first-party performance statistics. We have not carried out comparable live execution or withdrawal tests across all five providers.
The overall scores displayed here are your database’s existing brand-level editorial scores (Topstep 89, MyFundedFutures 95, Tradeify 91, Apex 88 and FTMO 95). Because they measure different companies and their wider offerings, the ranking order is an independently curated futures suitability order, not a numerical score sort. See our editorial scoring methodology and 2026 study of prop firm challenge pass rates for more context on evaluating firms without relying on marketing claims.
The 5 best futures prop firms reviewed

Topstep
Best overall for a structured route to futures funding · Editorial score: 89/100 (firm-level)Why Topstep ranks #1: Its Trading Combine is a focused futures evaluation, followed by the simulated Express Funded Account (XFA) and potential progression to a Live Funded Account. This clearer staged structure makes Topstep a sensible starting point for traders who want to learn one rule system instead of shopping solely for the lowest fee. The 2026 Trading Combine uses a maximum loss limit plus a profit target and consistency objective.
Where the costs add up: Topstep currently publishes both Standard and No Activation Fee subscription paths. At the $50K level, the Standard Trading Combine is advertised at $49 per month with a $149 activation fee after passing; the No Activation Fee option is $95 per month. These are the provider’s published base figures, not a promise of the amount shown at your checkout. Resetting or repeatedly subscribing can increase the true acquisition cost.
The payout trade-off: XFA Standard requires five winning days of at least $150 for a payout request, while the XFA Consistency route requires three trading days and a 40% consistency target. A payout may also reduce the remaining loss cushion. This makes Topstep more suitable for repeatable day trading than for strategies that rely on one unusually large winning session.
Programmes to compare: Trading Combine, Express Funded Account Standard/Consistency, Live Funded Account. Always select the exact futures account and trading-stage rule set.

MyFundedFutures
Best for Rapid daily payout eligibility · Editorial score: 95/100 (firm-level)Why MyFundedFutures ranks #2: Its range of futures evaluations offers alternatives for traders who prefer an end-of-day drawdown model or a different funded-stage payout structure. The Rapid route is the most commercially relevant option to compare when payout access is the main priority, but the actual plan and account size determine how the maximum loss is enforced.
The Rapid payout detail: MyFundedFutures publishes daily payout request availability for Rapid plans, with initial eligibility from 24 hours after the first trade. That headline should always be read alongside the required buffer and minimum withdrawal. The official policy currently gives a $2,100 buffer for the $50K Rapid account and a $500 minimum withdrawal above the applicable buffer.
Who should avoid it: Traders expecting to withdraw the first profitable dollar, or those who struggle to leave a protective buffer on their account, can find the payout rules more demanding than the word “daily” suggests. Compare Pro and Builder separately rather than assuming Rapid terms apply to them.
Programmes to compare: Rapid, Rapid EOD, Pro and Builder. Always select the exact futures account and trading-stage rule set.

Tradeify
Best for choosing between daily and five-day payout paths · Editorial score: 91/100 (firm-level)Why Tradeify ranks #3: It offers different entry routes instead of forcing everyone into the same evaluation. Growth targets a faster evaluation route, Select is built around a more structured evaluation, and Lightning Funded is a direct-access alternative with separate conditions. That makes Tradeify particularly useful for traders deciding whether evaluation requirements or funded-stage payout flexibility matter more.
Select Flex versus Select Daily: The firm says successful Select traders choose their funded payout policy after passing. Select Flex uses five qualifying winning days with no daily loss limit on the standard listed sizes, whereas Select Daily provides more frequent eligibility but adds a daily loss limit and buffer. Both use end-of-day drawdown methodology, and the current policy distinguishes account generations and payout caps.
The catch: Select has an evaluation consistency condition and a minimum three-day route; it is not a blanket “no consistency rule” firm. Meanwhile, Lightning Funded’s direct access carries distinct profit-goal and payout-cap requirements. The best Tradeify choice therefore depends on your distribution of winning days and tolerance for daily limits.
Programmes to compare: Growth Evaluation, Select Evaluation, Lightning Funded. Always select the exact futures account and trading-stage rule set.

Apex Trader Funding
Best for EOD versus intraday trailing account choice · Editorial score: 88/100 (firm-level)Why Apex ranks #4: Apex offers both end-of-day and intraday trailing drawdown paths. That is a meaningful choice for traders whose strategy temporarily moves against them before closing profitably. Do not assume that an EOD threshold only matters at the close: on Apex’s EOD Performance Account, the floor is recalculated at end of day but still enforced against unrealised P&L during trading.
What a 50K EOD account actually means: Apex’s current EOD Performance Account documentation lists a $2,000 maximum drawdown for the $50K size. The payout policy requires five qualifying days, each meeting the relevant daily profit threshold, alongside 50% consistency and a lifetime Safety Net. The published EOD policy also caps each Performance Account at six approved payouts.
Who should avoid it: Traders who dislike profit-concentration tests or want unrestricted profit withdrawal may prefer another route. Apex’s marketed 100% split refers to approved payouts, not every dollar displayed as simulated account profit.
Programmes to compare: EOD Trailing Drawdown and Intraday Trailing Drawdown evaluations. Always select the exact futures account and trading-stage rule set.

FTMO Futures
Best newer futures alternative from an established prop brand · Editorial score: 95/100 (firm-level)Why FTMO Futures is #5 rather than #1: FTMO has a longer track record in forex and CFD evaluations, but its dedicated futures product launched on 17 September 2026. We therefore treat its futures-specific experience separately from its broader brand reputation. The database’s 95/100 is a brand-wide score; our standalone FTMO Futures review currently scores the futures product 80/100.
Growth versus Pro: Both futures plans offer a single-phase evaluation, end-of-day trailing maximum drawdown, $50K/$100K/$150K sizes and a published 90% Sim-Funded payout ratio. Growth has no hard daily loss rule in evaluation and a softer funded-stage daily limit. Pro uses a harder daily limit but allows a larger share of available profit to be requested in one payout cycle. See the official Growth/Pro policy.
The main restrictions: FTMO Futures requires open positions and resting orders to be closed before the applicable session close; it is not the right route for overnight futures exposure. Traders should also check the current regional eligibility terms and monthly evaluation subscription before committing.
Programmes to compare: Futures Growth and Futures Pro. Always select the exact futures account and trading-stage rule set.
Futures prop firm drawdown: compare usable risk, not account size
A $50,000 evaluation account does not provide $50,000 of cash you can lose. The practical trading allowance is the distance from the current account value to the loss threshold, after allowing for commissions, slippage and any daily limit. Futures trailing drawdown is often more important than the advertised account size.
End-of-day (EOD) trailing drawdown
The floor is adjusted using an end-of-day balance measure, but it can still be enforced intraday against open losses. Apex and Tradeify both document versions of this structure.
Intraday trailing drawdown
The loss floor may move when unrealised gains increase the equity high-water mark. A strong unrealised winner that reverses can therefore leave less room than expected.
Daily loss limit
A separate intraday guardrail, sometimes a soft trading pause and sometimes a hard breach. FTMO Futures Growth and Pro illustrate why the distinction matters.
Payout-buffer rules
A trader may be profitable but ineligible to withdraw because the account has not exceeded its required balance, winning-day target or consistency test.
Futures evaluation costs and payout eligibility: what to check
The cheapest sign-up price rarely tells you the whole story. Calculate the total cost of reaching a usable funded-stage account: evaluation fees, months subscribed before passing, paid resets, activation charges, market-data/platform fees if applicable, and any required add-ons. Topstep’s currently published $50K Standard path, for example, includes a $49 monthly evaluation and a $149 activation fee after passing; its alternative no-activation route has a higher subscription. These are examples from the provider, not a full cross-firm price comparison.
For payouts, separate request eligibility from processing time. MyFundedFutures Rapid advertises daily requests when the buffer is met. Tradeify Select offers a Daily or five-winning-day funded payout route. Topstep XFA Standard counts five qualifying winning days, whereas Apex EOD Performance Accounts use five profitable days plus consistency and minimum account-balance gates. None of those statements means a trader automatically receives cash the same day they make a profit.
Which futures prop firm fits your trading style?
| Your priority | First firm to investigate | Why | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|---|
| Established futures-only programme | Topstep | Trading Combine and documented simulated-to-live progression | Monthly subscription and staged payout gates |
| Frequent requests after buffer | MyFundedFutures Rapid | Published daily payout request policy | Buffer and minimum profit still apply |
| Choose between daily and five-day payouts | Tradeify Select | Different funded payout routes after evaluation | Evaluation consistency and irreversible payout choice |
| Choose EOD versus intraday account | Apex | Separate risk-account generations | Payout caps, qualifying days and consistency |
| Growth/Pro one-phase evaluation | FTMO Futures | Different daily loss frameworks in one brand | Newer product; intraday-only holding rules |
If you are learning how evaluation rules affect results, read our research into futures prop firm pass rates. Published figures show how frequently evaluation accounts reach the next stage, but they are not personalised probabilities and cannot be used to promise an individual payout.
Final verdict: the best futures prop firm depends on your rules
Topstep (#1) is our first choice for a structured futures-only evaluation and potential route towards live trading. Its monthly cost and distinct funded payout paths make it better for patient, repeatable strategies than high-turnover challenge buying.
MyFundedFutures (#2) is the more relevant comparison when payout request frequency matters and you can protect the Rapid buffer. Tradeify (#3) deserves consideration when you want to choose how your funded payout cycles work. Apex (#4) suits traders who will carefully model EOD versus intraday trailing thresholds rather than chase a headline split. FTMO Futures (#5) provides a credible new Growth/Pro alternative, but its shorter futures-product history must not be confused with FTMO’s wider brand history.
No firm suits every futures trader. Decide on the exact programme, then verify risk, fees and payout eligibility before buying.

Best futures prop firms: frequently asked questions
Topstep is our #1 futures-specific editorial recommendation for a structured Trading Combine and progression towards live funding. MyFundedFutures is a strong alternative for traders prioritising payout request flexibility. The best account still depends on drawdown, fees and payout restrictions.
MyFundedFutures Rapid and Tradeify Select Daily publish daily payout request routes. Both are conditional: MyFundedFutures requires the relevant profit buffer and minimum amount, while Tradeify Select Daily uses account-specific risk and payout conditions.
EOD drawdown usually recalculates the floor from an end-of-day measure, whereas intraday trailing can update based on account equity during trading. An EOD floor may still be enforced against intraday or unrealised losses. Always read the programme-specific definition.
Not always. Evaluations and many funded-stage accounts are simulated. Topstep, Tradeify and some other providers publish pathways towards separate live trading opportunities, but passing an evaluation does not itself guarantee a live brokerage account.
It depends on evaluation billing, how long it takes to pass, resets, activation charges and any platform or data fees. Topstep, for example, offers both subscription routes with an activation fee after passing and a higher-priced no-activation option. Always compare the full checkout cost.
Topstep is useful if you prefer a staged futures programme with published Express Funded Account payout paths. Apex is an alternative if you want EOD and intraday account options. Apex’s funded withdrawal conditions include five qualifying days, 50% consistency and per-account payout caps, so it is not automatically easier.
No. A published split applies to an approved eligible payout. Withdrawal caps, safety nets, profit buffers, qualified winning days, consistency rules and other conditions can limit when and how much can be requested.
Some futures firms accept eligible UK-based traders, but residency, citizenship, sanctions and payment restrictions differ. Topstep publishes separate access rules for its simulated and live stages. Check each provider’s latest restrictions before buying.
No. FTMO Futures launched separately in September 2026 with Growth and Pro plans and futures-specific drawdown, session-close and payout rules. Its parent brand editorial score should not be treated as an independently verified futures programme score.
Check the exact account generation, maximum loss calculation, daily loss limit, contract size, news and session holding rules, profit target, subscription and activation fees, payout consistency or winning-day rules, and trader-country eligibility.
