BrightFunded Review 2026
Our verdict: BrightFunded is best suited to forex and CFD traders who want static-drawdown two-step challenges, no consistency rule, weekend holding and a choice of MT5, cTrader or DXtrade. 2-Step Classic is our preferred risk structure because its 10% static maximum loss is easier to model than the 1-Step account’s 6% real-time trailing drawdown. The main drawbacks are a 30-day default first payout, funded-stage news restrictions and BrightFunded’s current Trustpilot guidelines warning.
Best forTraders who want static two-step drawdown, weekend holding and no consistency rule.
Avoid ifYou need unrestricted funded-stage news trading or want a very early first payout without paying for an add-on.
Drawdown strictnessBalanced on the two-step plans; strict on 1-Step because its 6% maximum loss trails real-time equity highs.

BrightFunded Score Breakdown
Our BrightFunded Verdict in 60 Seconds
BrightFunded’s strongest feature is not the 1-Step account — it is the choice between two different static-drawdown two-step evaluations. 2-Step Classic is our preferred programme for risk management because its 5% daily limit and 10% static maximum loss give a trader a clearly defined loss budget that does not tighten when the account makes new highs. 2-Step Bright reduces the Phase 1 target to 8% and costs slightly less, but cuts the daily and overall cushions to 4% and 8%.
The 1-Step account is faster structurally, but its risk model is substantially less forgiving. Its 6% maximum drawdown follows the highest equity reached in real time, including floating profit. A profitable open trade can therefore move the breach threshold upwards before the profit is realised.
Trading flexibility is otherwise good: overnight and weekend positions are allowed, EAs are permitted with conditions, own-account copy trading is supported and there is no consistency rule. The main funded-stage limitation is news trading, while the standard 30-day first payout is slower than several competitors unless an optional payout-frequency add-on is purchased.
Why trust this BrightFunded review?
We checked BrightFunded’s programme pages, Help Centre, Terms and Conditions, payout documentation, platform restrictions, country rules and current Trustpilot status on 28 October 2026. Prop Firms Compare has not independently traded a BrightFunded account for this review, so execution quality, spreads, slippage, dashboard performance, support speed and payout processing are not described as personally tested results.

BrightFunded Company Overview: Is It Legit?
BrightFunded was established in 2023 and officially launched in September that year. The company identifies brothers Jelle Dijkstra and Syb Dijkstra as CEO and COO respectively, while its group headquarters are in Dubai.
The legal structure needs slightly more explanation than simply calling BrightFunded a Dubai company. Bright Global FZCO is the Dubai-based group entity, while BrightFunded’s current legal disclosures state that the CFD simulated trading service is provided by BrightFunded Ltd., incorporated in Saint Lucia. Bright Transact Ltd. in Cyprus is also identified as an affiliated entity.
BrightFunded is not a broker and should not be described as a regulated investment firm simply because its companies are registered. Its own terms state that the service consists of simulated trading through demo accounts and that it does not provide brokerage, investment advice or regulated financial activity.
Evaluation and funded-stage accounts are therefore simulated. Eligible funded traders can receive real monetary performance rewards based on simulated results, but the headline account balance is not cash deposited into a personal brokerage account.
What about BrightFunded Futures?
BrightFunded now also has a separate Futures product. We deliberately exclude its programme rules from this review because Futures uses a different product structure and contracting entity. Mixing the two would make the drawdown, platform and payout analysis harder to understand. This page therefore reviews BrightFunded’s CFD programmes only.
BrightFunded Pros and Cons
✅ Pros
- 2-Step Classic provides a 10% static maximum drawdown.
- 2-Step Bright lowers the Phase 1 target to 8% while retaining static maximum drawdown.
- No overall evaluation time limit.
- No consistency rule on the current paid evaluations or funded accounts.
- Overnight and weekend holding are allowed.
- EAs and own-account copy trading are permitted with conditions.
- MT5, cTrader and DXtrade provide three platform choices outside restricted jurisdictions.
- No mandatory monthly or annual subscription after the one-time challenge fee.
- Standard scaling can increase an eligible funded account by 30% of its original size.
❌ Cons
- 1-Step uses a 6% real-time trailing maximum drawdown based on the highest equity reached.
- Floating profit can tighten the 1-Step maximum-loss threshold before profit is realised.
- The standard first funded payout is not available until 30 days after the first funded trade.
- Weekly payout access and a 90% split are optional checkout add-ons rather than default terms.
- Funded-stage trading is restricted for five minutes before and after specified major news.
- The Risk/Terms framework prohibits broad categories of risk-abusive or exploitative trading behaviour.
- MT5 is unavailable to US and UAE clients; cTrader is unavailable to US clients.
- Trustpilot currently withholds BrightFunded’s numerical rating following a guidelines breach and removal of fake reviews.
Who Is BrightFunded Best For?
BrightFunded is most attractive to traders who value static drawdown and strategy flexibility more than the shortest possible evaluation route. In particular, 2-Step Classic gives traders a clear 10% maximum-loss floor rather than a moving high-water mark.
- 2-Step Classic: best suited to traders who want the widest standard loss allowance and can accept a 10% Phase 1 target.
- 2-Step Bright: better suited to traders who prioritise the lower 8% Phase 1 target and lower entry price, while accepting 4% daily and 8% maximum limits.
- 1-Step: better suited to traders who strongly prefer one evaluation phase and whose strategy can cope with a 3% daily limit and real-time trailing maximum drawdown.
- Swing traders: potentially suitable because overnight and weekend holding are allowed.
- EA and systematic traders: potentially suitable if the strategy complies with BrightFunded’s prohibited-practice rules and the selected platform supports the required automation.
Who should avoid BrightFunded?
BrightFunded is a weaker fit for funded-stage news traders who routinely enter or exit positions around red-folder releases, traders who require a first payout inside the first two weeks without buying an add-on, and US traders who specifically require MT5 or cTrader.
The 1-Step programme is also a poor fit for strategies that routinely build large unrealised gains and then give part of them back. Because its maximum drawdown follows the highest real-time equity, floating profit can permanently raise the loss floor.
BrightFunded Challenge Comparison
BrightFunded’s current CFD range consists of three paid BrightFunded 2.0 programmes plus a separate Free $1K Challenge. Accounts bought before 13 April 2026 can remain on legacy rules, but new buyers should compare the current structures below.

2-Step Bright
2-Step Bright uses an 8% target in Phase 1 and 5% in Phase 2. The daily loss limit is 4% and the maximum drawdown is 8% static. This makes the programme easier to model than 1-Step because the overall loss floor does not follow new profit highs.
Its main appeal is efficiency: the Phase 1 target is two percentage points lower than Classic and its base fee is also slightly lower at every current paid account size. The trade-off is a smaller daily and total loss cushion.
2-Step Classic
Classic increases the Phase 1 target to 10% but compensates with a 5% daily loss allowance and 10% static maximum drawdown. Phase 2 remains 5%.
For traders whose priority is surviving normal variance rather than passing with the lowest target, Classic is our preferred BrightFunded structure. A fixed 10% maximum-loss floor is considerably easier to incorporate into a position-sizing model than the real-time trailing rule used on 1-Step.
1-Step
1-Step removes the Verification phase but does not make the evaluation easier in every respect. It requires a 10% profit target, uses a tighter 3% daily limit and applies a 6% trailing maximum drawdown.
The important detail is that this trailing maximum drawdown follows the highest real-time equity, not simply the highest closed balance or end-of-day balance. Floating profit can therefore raise the threshold before a position closes.
Free $1K Challenge
The Free $1K Challenge provides a genuine no-fee way to experience BrightFunded’s rules. It uses one evaluation phase, a 10% target, 3% daily drawdown and 6% real-time trailing maximum drawdown. After passing, the funded split is 80% and the standard first payout is after 30 days.
The free route is not equivalent to a paid challenge. The 15% evaluation profit reward available on paid accounts does not apply, and BrightFunded limits availability and eligibility for the free account.
Choose by drawdown, not by number of steps
1-Step is faster structurally, but its real-time trailing loss floor is materially stricter. Compare the full risk model before choosing the shorter evaluation.
BrightFunded Pricing and Optional Add-Ons
BrightFunded charges a one-time evaluation fee rather than a recurring subscription. The following are the standard/list prices checked on 28 October 2026. Temporary discounts are deliberately separated from the base price.

- 80% standard funded reward split.
- No overall evaluation time limit.
- No consistency rule.

- 90% Payout Ratio: increases the funded split from the standard 80%.
- No Minimum Trading Days: offered as an optional checkout feature; confirm the exact programme-specific implementation before purchase.
- 100% Challenge Fee Refund: optional. Do not confuse this with the ordinary unused-account refund policy.
The public pages do not consistently expose the price of every add-on before checkout, so we do not include estimated add-on costs.
Refunds: two different policies
BrightFunded allows a normal purchase refund when the challenge was bought within the previous 30 days and no trade has been placed. Once trading begins, that consumer refund route no longer applies under the published policy.
The advertised 100% Challenge Fee Refund is different: it is an optional paid add-on tied to the performance-reward process. Do not treat challenge-fee reimbursement as a standard feature of every BrightFunded account.
BrightFunded Drawdown Rules Explained
BrightFunded’s two-step accounts are relatively straightforward at maximum-loss level: 2-Step Bright uses an 8% static maximum drawdown and Classic uses 10% static. The 1-Step account is fundamentally different because its 6% maximum drawdown trails the highest equity reached in real time.
Daily drawdown calculation
For current accounts, the daily loss amount is calculated as a percentage of the original challenge size: 4% on 2-Step Bright, 5% on Classic and 3% on 1-Step.
The important part is the reset. Between approximately 11:30 p.m. and 11:59 p.m. CET, BrightFunded records the higher of balance or equity. The following day’s minimum permitted level is that reference value minus the fixed daily-loss amount.
This means floating profit at rollover can tighten the next day’s floor. For example, on a $100,000 Classic account the daily-loss amount remains $5,000. If equity at rollover is $102,000, the following day’s minimum level becomes $97,000 rather than $95,000.
Worked example: $100K 2-Step Classic
The 10% static maximum drawdown creates a permanent overall floor at $90,000. The daily allowance is $5,000, although the daily threshold changes with the higher balance/equity recorded at rollover. The maximum-loss floor itself does not trail upwards with profit.
Worked example: $100K 1-Step
At the beginning, the 6% trailing maximum loss sits at $94,000. If equity reaches $102,000, the trailing floor moves to $96,000. At $104,000 equity it rises to $98,000. Once equity reaches $106,000, the loss floor locks at the original $100,000 balance.
The most important risk is unrealised profit. If a position temporarily pushes equity to $104,000, the maximum-loss floor can move to $98,000 even if the position later reverses. The trader does not regain the old $94,000 floor.
You can model these thresholds with our drawdown calculator and use the position size calculator to translate your personal risk limit into trade size.

Funded-stage news rule
The news rule changes after evaluation. Phase 1 and Phase 2 can trade news without a dedicated blackout. On the funded account, trade executions are restricted within five minutes before and five minutes after specified high-impact events.
BrightFunded describes a violation as a soft breach: profit from the affected trade can be removed, while losses remain. Opening or closing a trade — including execution of certain stop-loss, take-profit and pending orders — can count as execution inside the restricted window. A specific exemption applies to certain take-profit executions on positions that have already been open for at least 48 hours.
Prohibited risk behaviour
BrightFunded’s rules go beyond a simple HFT ban. The terms prohibit delayed-feed exploitation, manipulative cross-account behaviour and risk-abusive techniques such as excessive overleveraging or overexposure. The terms also allow BrightFunded to reduce leverage or impose additional restrictions when it determines that prohibited trading practices have occurred.
BrightFunded Payouts and Profit Split
The most important distinction is between payout eligibility and payout processing. BrightFunded markets 24-hour payout processing, but this does not mean the standard account can withdraw one day after becoming funded.
Under the default funded terms, the first Reward Split can be requested 30 days after the trader places the first funded trade. After that first payout, the standard cycle becomes every 14 days.
| Payout feature | Standard condition |
|---|---|
| Default funded reward split | 80% |
| 90% reward split | Optional paid add-on |
| 100% reward split | Available from the third qualifying scale-up under the current scaling plan |
| First payout eligibility | 30 days after first funded trade |
| Later standard payout cycle | Every 14 days |
| Faster payout frequency | Optional checkout add-ons |
| Minimum withdrawal | No published minimum; BrightFunded states even €0.01 can be requested |
| Published payout cap | No standard per-cycle cap clearly published for the paid CFD programmes |
| Bank payout | EUR bank transfer |
| Crypto payout | USDC on ERC-20 |
| BrightFunded payout fee | None published; third-party processor/network/conversion fees can apply |
Once an eligible request is submitted, BrightFunded says its finance process aims to complete payouts within one day. We have not independently timed a BrightFunded payout, so this review treats that as the firm’s published processing commitment rather than a first-hand measurement.
The 15% evaluation profit reward
Paid challenges also advertise a 15% share of evaluation profits, but this is not an immediate cash reward for passing.
To qualify, the trader must subsequently achieve at least 10% growth on the relevant funded-account chain, receive a payout and contact support. BrightFunded then issues a new funded account whose starting balance includes 15% of the eligible Phase 1 and Phase 2 evaluation profits. The credited amount can later be withdrawn subject to the normal reward split.
The Free $1K Challenge does not qualify for this 15% evaluation profit reward.
Check the payout configuration before checkout
The standard first payout is 30 days and the default split is 80%. Faster payout access and a 90% split should be treated as optional features, not default benefits.
Scaling and Maximum Allocation
BrightFunded permits unlimited challenge purchases, but the standard maximum initial funded allocation is $400,000 per trader or trading strategy. Passed accounts beyond the available funded capacity should therefore not be interpreted as immediately increasing the trader’s active allocation beyond that initial limit.
The scaling programme is separate. Each funded account is reviewed over consecutive four-month periods. To qualify, the trader must be profitable in at least two of those four months, produce at least 10% total profit during the period, complete at least two payouts and have the account at breakeven or profit when scaling is requested.
A qualifying scale-up adds 30% of the original account size. The trader must contact support because scaling is not automatic. BrightFunded currently states that the scaling plan has no final balance cap, and the reward split increases to 100% from the third qualifying scale-up onwards.
BrightFunded Platforms, Markets and Trading Costs
BrightFunded currently supports MT5, cTrader and DXtrade for its CFD programmes. Platform access is not identical in every jurisdiction: MT5 is unavailable to US and UAE residents/citizens, while cTrader is unavailable to US users. US traders therefore need to use DXtrade from the current platform list.
| Asset class | Published leverage | Published commission |
|---|---|---|
| Forex | 1:100 | $3 per lot |
| Gold / commodities | 1:40 | 0.0010% of volume on commodities |
| Indices | 1:20 | $0 |
| Crypto | 1:5 | 0.024% of volume, 0.012% per side |
The published leverage is the same in Challenge and Funded environments. Tradable CFD categories include forex pairs, global indices, commodities and cryptocurrencies.
Overnight positions can incur swap charges unless the Swap-Free add-on was selected. Triple-swap schedules can also apply depending on the instrument.
We have not independently benchmarked BrightFunded spreads, slippage, fill quality, platform stability or execution speed. Its own terms also explain that simulated platforms can experience slippage, delayed fills and other execution differences, so marketing language should not be presented as measured execution performance.
BrightFunded Support, Transparency and Reputation
BrightFunded publishes detailed programme-specific drawdown examples, payout rules, strategy restrictions, country restrictions and legal disclosures. It also identifies its founders and the entities involved in providing the service.
The principal current reputation concern is Trustpilot. When checked on 28 October 2026, the BrightFunded profile displayed 574 reviews but no numerical aggregate rating because Trustpilot marked the rating as unavailable following a breach of its guidelines. Trustpilot also states that it removed a number of fake reviews.
That warning does not prove that BrightFunded fails to pay traders, nor does a positive review prove that every future payout will succeed. It does mean that the old 4.4 numerical score should not currently be used as a straightforward reputation signal.
Customer support
BrightFunded publishes 24/7 support availability through live chat, WhatsApp, email and Discord. We have not independently measured response times or resolution quality for this review, so we do not award extra points based simply on the advertised hours.
After a trader passes the final evaluation stage, BrightFunded uses SumSub for KYC followed by a Risk Team security check. Its current Help Centre states that the security review normally takes 1–2 business days and can take up to four business days during higher-volume periods. Contract issuance and account activation are then described as automated.
A separate public dispute or appeal framework was not clearly stated in the core sources checked for this review. Traders with a rule or account dispute should therefore retain screenshots and written support correspondence.
BrightFunded Country Availability
BrightFunded requires clients to be at least 18 and complete the required identity checks before receiving a funded account.
The dedicated country-restriction list checked on 28 October 2026 excludes residents or nationals of Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Vietnam and Pakistan. BrightFunded notes that existing Pakistani traders with an active account may continue under its published grandfathering arrangement.

Challenge Fairness
BrightFunded scores strongly for challenge fairness because the current evaluations have no overall time limit and no consistency rule. The five minimum trading days per stage are also predictable: one trade must remain open for at least 60 seconds for the day to count.
The main deduction is 1-Step. Reaching funded status in a single evaluation phase looks simpler on the surface, but its 3% daily and 6% real-time trailing loss rules create materially less room for normal variance than Classic.
Cost vs Risk Value
BrightFunded’s base fees are competitive within the current PFC database, particularly on 2-Step Bright. More importantly, the fee is a one-time evaluation charge rather than a mandatory monthly subscription.
However, traders comparing the headline price should account for optional upgrades. Weekly payouts, 90% profit split, swap-free conditions, no minimum trading days and challenge-fee reimbursement can all change the final economic value. The cheapest checkout configuration is not necessarily the configuration whose rules best fit your strategy.
Best BrightFunded Alternatives
BrightFunded’s main weaknesses are the 30-day default first payout, the strict real-time drawdown on 1-Step, current Trustpilot warning and the lack of an instant CFD route. These four alternatives address different parts of that trade-off.

FundedNext is worth comparing if BrightFunded’s standard 30-day first payout is the main issue or you want access to a broader mix of evaluation and instant structures. The trade-off is that each FundedNext programme has its own drawdown and payout conditions, so compare the exact model rather than the brand-level headline.
2. FTMO — for a longer established operating history
FTMO is the more natural comparison if BrightFunded’s current Trustpilot warning or shorter operating history is your principal concern. It has a longer-established presence in the prop evaluation market, although its programme structure and country/platform rules need to be compared separately.
3. Alpha Capital — for a different payout and programme mix
Alpha Capital is relevant if you want to compare BrightFunded’s 30-day default first payout and three paid evaluation structures against a different CFD programme mix. It is particularly useful as a side-by-side comparison for traders choosing between MT5, cTrader and non-MetaTrader options.
4. Blue Guardian — if you want an instant CFD route
Blue Guardian is worth comparing when the main BrightFunded drawback is having to pass an evaluation at all. Blue Guardian currently has an instant-access route, although direct access comes with its own consistency, profitable-day and risk-control conditions.
Final Verdict: Is BrightFunded Worth It?
BrightFunded is a good fit for traders who want a conventional CFD evaluation without a consistency rule and who value overnight/weekend holding, own-account copy trading and multiple platform choices. The strongest programme in our view is 2-Step Classic: its 10% static maximum drawdown gives the trader a much clearer risk budget than the 1-Step account’s real-time trailing equity threshold.
2-Step Bright is the better value option when an 8% static maximum drawdown is sufficient and reducing the Phase 1 target to 8% matters more. By contrast, we would not choose 1-Step solely because it has fewer stages. Floating profit can move its 6% trailing loss floor upwards, making it substantially less forgiving after new equity highs.
The biggest wider weaknesses are the 30-day standard first payout, funded-stage news restriction and current Trustpilot guidelines warning. Traders prioritising faster payout eligibility should compare FundedNext or Alpha Capital, while traders who want a longer-established operating history should compare FTMO.
BrightFunded Review FAQs
BrightFunded is an identifiable simulated trading evaluation business established in 2023, with named founders, published legal entities, programme rules and support channels. Its CFD simulated trading service is provided by BrightFunded Ltd. in Saint Lucia. This does not make BrightFunded a regulated broker or guarantee future payouts.
BrightFunded states that it does not provide brokerage, investment advice or regulated financial activity. Its customer accounts use simulated funds. Company registration in Dubai, Saint Lucia or Cyprus should not be confused with regulation of a brokerage or investment service.
We prefer 2-Step Classic for traders who prioritise risk flexibility because it provides a 5% daily loss limit and 10% static maximum drawdown. 2-Step Bright is better value if you prefer an 8% Phase 1 target and can work within 4% daily and 8% static maximum loss. 1-Step is faster structurally but uses a stricter 6% real-time trailing maximum drawdown.
Only the current 1-Step and Free $1K structures use 6% real-time trailing maximum drawdown. The 2-Step Bright account uses an 8% static maximum drawdown and 2-Step Classic uses 10% static. The 1-Step trailing threshold follows the highest equity reached, including floating profit, until it locks at the initial balance after sufficient growth.
Under the default funded terms, the first payout request becomes available 30 days after the first funded trade. Subsequent standard requests are available every 14 days. BrightFunded publishes a 24-hour processing commitment once an eligible request is submitted. Faster payout-frequency options are offered as add-ons.
News trading is unrestricted during Phase 1 and Phase 2. Funded accounts restrict executions during the five minutes before and five minutes after specified major news events. BrightFunded treats a violation as a soft breach: profit from the affected trade can be removed while losses remain.
Yes. BrightFunded allows overnight and weekend holding. Normal swap charges can apply when positions cross rollover unless the trader purchased the Swap-Free add-on. Weekend gaps and slippage can also affect account drawdown.
EAs are allowed subject to BrightFunded’s prohibited-practice and platform rules. Copy trading is allowed only between accounts owned by the same person. Third-party signals, account management and copying another trader are prohibited. Hedging within one account is permitted, but cross-account or cross-platform hedging is prohibited.
The UK, United States, Canada and Australia are not on BrightFunded’s current general restricted-country list. US users cannot currently use MT5 or cTrader and therefore need DXtrade from the current platform options. BrightFunded restricts Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Vietnam and Pakistan, subject to its published grandfathering rule for existing Pakistani accounts.
There are two different policies. An unused challenge can normally be refunded within 30 days if no trade has been placed. Separately, a 100% Challenge Fee Refund is offered as an optional paid add-on tied to funded-stage performance rewards. It is not a default feature on every challenge.
